Nick Leverone

Owner, President, Data Acquisition & Driver Coach

As president and co-founder of Flatout Motorsports, Nick handles the company's strategic and day-to-day operations both in the shop and at the track. Nick has been a nationally competitive autocrosser and roadracer for nearly two decades. His driving resume includes more than a dozen wins in Pro Solo and National Tour autocrosses; too many victories to count in SCCA Regional roadracing; six season points championships in New England and northeastern race series; and more than 20 races in professional series such as SCCA's World Challenge and Grand-Am's KONI Challenge. Nick graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1991 and, during his rare respites from racing, can be found running, bicycling, or skiing.

David Goulet : Technician, Crew Member

David Goulet

Technician, Crew Member

Technician David Goulet maintains and modifies street cars in addition to our racing Miatas. He also handles fleet maintenance and inventory, and he crews at the track. With seven years' experience at a corporate repair shop, David prides himself on handling "anything that needs to get done." An avid mountain biker, skeet shooter and hunter, he loves Japanese cars - especially classic Hondas.

Cory Bentley : Technician, Crew Member

Cory worked as a detailer before joining Flatout. He spends much of his time cleaning and prepping parts, loading and offloading trailers, and working as an all-purpose technician. Cory's also studying at Universal Technical Institute, where he's gaining experience and pursuing certifications. On the street, he drives a first-generation Miata

Kyle Santos : Technician, Crew Member

Kyle brings a wealth of experience to the shop - he's an ASE-certified tech with a seven-year background working at both dealerships and independent garages. He does some of everything: general mechanics, electrics, and fabrication. He's also become our primary dynamometer technician. A BMW fan, Kyle drives a sweet E36.

Luis Rivera : Technician, Tuner, Crew Member

Well before joining Flatout in 2018, Luis Rivera launched Wankel Works, a highly regarded rotary specialist. He continues to serve as our rotary ace, while also tuning, repairing, and prepping other cars as needed. Luis also serves at the track as a crew member. His own pet projects include a pair of (what else?) rotaries: an E Prepared RX-7, and a full-race RX-3.

Charles Montesano : Technician, Crew Member

Charles Montesano

Charles joined Team Flatout in early 2019, and quickly became an invaluable worker. He keeps trailers and the shop clean and organized, while also working on race cars in any capacity needed. He also enjoys hitting the track on weekends to serve as crew. Charles is another of our rotary throwbacks, driving an '88 RX-7 Turbo.

Steve Ulfelder : Owner, Social Media & Website Manager

Owner, Social Media & Website Manager

Steve, a Flatout Motorsports co-founder, handles website chores, social media updates, and media inquiries. A longtime roadracer, he has driven a Honda S2000, RX-7s, and Miatas. In his non-Flatout life, Steve is an award-winning mystery novelist and freelance writer.
